For your first paper, you will explore the definition of (or, if you prefer, ). Consider what nature means. What are the characteristics of nature? How does nature look, feel, sound, smell, taste? What is nature similar to? What is nature dissimilar to? What distinguishes nature and makes it unique? What does it mean for something to be considered nature or a part of nature? Consider also what nature might mean to others. How would you respond to those who disagree with you? Be sure that your paper has a clear thesis statement that you support throughout the body paragraphs. You are welcome and encouraged to use our assigned readings as sources of inspiration and ideas, but remember that borrowing any information from these sources requires that you provide a properly formatted citation. Your paper should be in MLA format: typed, in Times New Roman 12 font, with one-inch margins on all sides. Writing Center visits are strongly encouraged.
